About

I am currently a Doctoral student in the Department of Anthropology at Yale University. My research interests range from satellite imagery analysis to pedology. I have conducted field work in Peru, Guatemala and Mongolia, however, my primary interests lay with West African prehistory. My Masters thesis, entitled "Archaeological Reconnaissance of the Gorbi, Valley," was based on an archaeological and geomorphological survey I directed, located in the Lakes Region of Mali, West Africa. As a Doctoral student, I aim to continue my research into West African prehistory and palaeoclimate. Presently I am in the planning stages of a follow up field season of excavations in Mali, while continuing my research integrating aerial photography and satellite imagery to identify site locations.
