About

Welcome. I am a Sociomedical lecturer, nurse, & Child-Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner student (NPP), with an Integrative Medicine focus.  I try to research, initiate interventions, clinically implement, & influence policy improvements.

My focus is on understanding, preventing, and treating mother-child health. Diverse developmental pathways emerge from modulations of the HPA axis, circadian rhythms, psychoneuroimmunologic & psychoneuroendocrinologic mechanisms, epigenetic patterning, as well as family, peer, community, & environmental influences.

I have treated &/or advanced policy initiatives dealing with children in armed conflict, genocide survivors, Natives, war refugees, & other disadvantaged minorities, due to their wide range of developmental trajectories, the health modulations of adversity & transgenerationally-relevant effects of psychotrauma.

My "preventive medicine" policy goals include "treating the context": advancing environmental cleanup, US single-payer social medicine, ensuring opportunities for those disadvantaged within the social system, promoting the WHO MDGs, inclusion of Clinton's "Women & Peace" initiative, & genocide prevention.

I gratefully acknowledge having been a Richard B. Tomlinson Postdoctoral Fellow
at McGill University (Canada) & Visiting Scholar at Hebrew University-Hadassah at the Faculty of Medicine, Ein Karem (Israel).
