About
I am currently a PhD student in early American history at Yale University. I received my B.A. from The City University of New York through The City College of New York and the CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies program.
My main field of interest is colonial and revolutionary America, stretching from the seventeenth century until around 1800. Within that period, my interests lie mostly in political culture and intellectual history. Geographically, I focus primarily on the middle colonies. The majority of my primary research has been on New York City in the eighteenth century. I am also interested in the Enlightenment, especially as it pertained to colonial America, and digital humanities.
My current research explores the cultural politics and competing visions of the Enlightenment within the public sphere of colonial New York City in the 1750s.
