Thesis Title: Origin and evolution of arthropod tagmosis

Derek E.G. Briggs

About

I am broadly interested in the relationship between genotype and phenotype. I am using data from developmental genetics and large-scale phylogenomics in extant arthropods to explore the mechanisms behind the evolution of morphology in the fossil record. Another developing interest is in methodology for phylogenetic reconstruction, particularly dealing with morphological and ontogenetic data.
